This review scrutinises existing prompt payment policy and sets out actions that government will take forward to improve payment times across the UK.

We have focused on 4 main areas where we believe targeted policy measures can make an improvement to UK payment times:

  • increasing transparency
  • a more active enforcement approach
  • better access to information
  • instilling a stronger payment culture

As part of the prompt payment and cash flow review, we launched a public consultation of the payment practices reporting regulations.
