Sir Sebastian Wood is to become Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany
Sir Sebastian Wood KCMG has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany in succession to Sir Simon McDonald KCMG, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Sir Sebastian will take up his appointment during September 2015.
Sir Sebastian joined the FCO in 1983 and has served in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Washington and most recently as the British Ambassador to China from 2010 to 2015.
