Rachel Chiu
Biography
Rachel Chiu is the Co-Founder and Director of Business Development at Spring Housing Association, a charity providing access to accommodation and support for people in housing need, and preventing homelessness across the West Midlands.
In this role she has contributed to policy and practice to improve standards and regulation in the supported accommodation sector both locally and nationally.
Rachel is a trustee and Chair for charities including almshouses and arts organisations.

Social Security Advisory Committee (SSAC) members are appointed by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions to:
- give advice on social security issues as it sees fit
- consider and report on social security regulations that have been referred to it
- advise on matters referred to it by the Secretary of State or the Northern Ireland department responsible for social security
- scrutinise the products produced by the Department for Work and Pensions
