Ratites: model health certificates

Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export ratites to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details

From 1 January 2021, ratites exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters in EU and non-EU countries should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC700

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for breeding or productive ratites (Regulation 798/2008) (BPR).

Certificate GBHC701

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for day-old chicks of ratites (Regulation 798/2008) (DOR).

Certificate GBHC702

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for hatching eggs of ratites (Regulation 798/2008) (HER).

Certificate GBHC703

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for slaughter ratites (Regulation 798/2008) (SRA).

  3. Updated the approval date for the following certificates: GBHC029E version 3.0, GBHC029X version 3.1, GBHC031E version 3.0, GBHC031X version 3.1, GBHC033E version 3.0, GBHC033X version 3.1 GBHC035E version 3.0 and GBHC035X version 3.1. They are now accepted until 17 September 2023.

  4. Updated certificates GBHC029X, GBHC029E, GBHC031X, GBHC031E, GBHC033X, GBHC033E, GBHC035X, and GBHC035E. See version history for full details of changes.

  5. Multiple changes have been made: 1. Amended box 1.2.a in certificates GBHC029E, GBHC031E, GBHC033E and GBHC035E. A unique notification number (UNN) needs to be included in this box. 2. Amended the version history notes for certificates GBHC029E, GBHC029X, GBHC031E, GBHC031X, GBHC033E, GBHC033X, GBHC035E and GBHC035X. The previous version of each certificate will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023.
