Details
The Department for Education publishes an estimate each year of the proportion of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET).
Evidence shows that a range of factors can affect the proportion of young people who are NEET. This scorecard aims to put the headline figure into context by presenting it alongside a range of other related information.
The scorecard:
- allows local authorities and their partners to monitor their own performance and compare it with that of others
- puts into context local authorities’ figures on the proportion of young people who are NEET and those with unknown education, employment or training status
