Reason

Pursuant to Article 9(1), point (a), of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 (1), the Explanatory Notes to the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union (2) are hereby amended as follows:

On page 314

7318 15 35 to 7318 15 48 Without heads

The following text is inserted before the existing text:

‘These subheadings include goods with internal or external drive/notch, for example, with six-point star-shaped drive, but not having a head protruding from a shank.’

On page 314

The following text is inserted before the existing text for subheading 7318 15 95:

‘7318 15 52 to 7318 15 95 With heads

These subheadings cover screws and bolts having a head protruding from a shank.’

7318 15 95 Other

The following text is inserted after the existing text:

‘and screws having a collar along the shank, where the collar has the function of the head:’
