You can get proof of your benefits or State Pension:

  • digitally - by downloading the file to your device
  • by post - this can take up to one week to arrive

To get proof of Universal Credit, sign in to your Universal Credit account.

To get proof of any other benefit, contact the benefit team directly.

Before you start

If you’ve moved address and have not told the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), you need to report it as a change of circumstances before using this service.

You’ll need a GOV.UK One Login to use this service. You’ll be able to create a GOV.UK One Login if you do not already have one.

You’ll be told when you sign in if you need to prove your identity. This is to keep your details safe and normally involves using photo ID like a passport or driving licence.

Who cannot use this service

You cannot use this service if:

  • you’re an appointee or manage somebody else’s benefits or State Pension
  • you live outside of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)
