View your eVisa and get a share code to prove your immigration status online
You can use this service to:
- view your eVisa (online immigration status) - this shows what rights you have in the UK, for example to work, rent or claim benefits
- get a share code to prove your immigration status to other people, for example employers, landlords or airline staff
You can only use this service if you have a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account. You’ll have an account if you’ve ever:
- applied to the EU Settlement Scheme
- used the ‘UK Immigration: ID Check’ app to prove your identity when applying for a visa
- created one when applying for a visa (you’ll have received a UKVI account confirmation email)
- accessed your eVisa (an online record of your immigration status)
If you do not have a UKVI account then you first need to create an account to get access to your eVisa. You can usually do this if you have permission to stay in the UK for longer than 6 months.
Before you start
To sign in you’ll need details of the identity document you use to sign in to your UKVI account. This could be your:
- passport
- national identity card
- biometric residence card - this can be expired
- expired biometric residence permit
You’ll also need access to the mobile phone number or email address you use to sign in to your UKVI account.
If you cannot get access to an eVisa
You can use different services to prove your right to work or prove your right to rent without a UKVI account.
