AAIB investigation to Jabiru UL-430, G-RUFS

Collision with trees during a go-around, Lower Upham Airfield, Wiltshire, 13 August 2022.

Summary:

During a go-around, the aircraft collided with trees at the upwind end of the runway. It is likely that the aircraft was unable to climb above the trees due to the reduced performance in the high temperature and rising ground.

Bulletin correction

Following publication it was noted that the incorrect county was included in the report header. The accident occurred at Lower Upham Airfield in Wiltshire, not Hampshire as originally stated.
