Cessna 172P Skyhawk, G-BOJR

Summary:

The pilot stated that shortly before touchdown on the tarmac Runway 26 at Kemble the aircraft began to descend with “more of a sink than usual”. He thought that he would be able to arrest the descent but the aircraft landed heavily and sustained damage to its nose landing gear and firewall. There were no injuries and the pilot was able to taxi the aircraft clear of the runway.
