Cosmik Aviation EV-97 Eurostar, G-MPAT

Summary:

The pilot was conducting a local flight from a private grass airstrip; the weather was fine and calm. During the landing roll, the aircraft hit a surface undulation and became airborne again. The pilot reduced the pitch attitude and the aircraft touched down again before bouncing twice more. The nose landing gear collapsed, causing the propeller to strike the ground, stopping the engine. The pilot, who was uninjured, commented that immediate application of power and a go-around would have been the correct course of action after the first bounce.
