Summary:

The aircraft was in the final stages of the approach to land when a gust of wind caused the aircraft nose to rise. The pilot lowered the nose and the aircraft sank towards the runway. There was insufficient height to prevent the aircraft touching down on the nose wheel which collapsed. The pilot considered that he had encountered windshear.
