Summary:

The pilot reported that he intended to takeoff from Runway 03 of the 400 m long grass strip. The air temperature was approximately 20°C, there was a light wind from the south-east and the aircraft had approximately 25 litres of fuel on board. The aircraft accelerated normally and at approximately 55 mph the pilot applied forward pressure on the basebar to lift off from the strip, however, the aircraft did not respond immediately. After a few seconds it rose approximately two feet into the air, before veering to the right and impacting the ground with the right wing leading edge. It then skidded along the ground for approximately 15 m. Although the aircraft was severely damaged, neither the pilot nor passenger were injured.
