Robinson R44 II Raven II, G-ROAD

Summary:

The helicopter was being manoeuvred at a private landing site prior to departure. The pilot lifted the helicopter to an approximate 8 ft hover height and taxied at about 5 kt towards a gap between trees. The pilot’s attention was mainly on a tree on the left side and, in trying to ensure adequate clearance from it, a rotor blade clipped the branch of a tree on the right side.
