Judicial Summary

A claimant might be able to show a need for prompting in order to make complex budgeting decisions even where he/she possesses the necessary intellectual ability and is motivated to perform other unrelated tasks. But the making of even complex budgeting decisions is not exacting.

A claimant might be able to show a need for prompting in order to take nutrition as that task is to be understood in light of MM and BJ v SSWP [2016] UKUT 490 (AAC) but that might be rare absent evidence of an eating disorder.
