Bird flu: near Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, Yorkshire (AIV 2024/07)
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry on 10 December 2024.

13 January 2025: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone around a premises near Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire (AIV 2024/07), the surveillance zone has been revoked. You may however still be in a control zone – check the updated bird flu disease control zone map.
8 January 2025: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone around a premises near Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire (AIV 2024/07), the 3km protection zone has ended and the area that formed the protection zone becomes a surveillance zone.
10 December 2024: Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry at a premises near Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, Yorkshire (AIV 2024/07). A 3km protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone have been declared surrounding the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
