Bird flu: near Cantley, Doncaster, South Yorkshire (AIV 2023/28)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry on 29 April 2023.

04 June 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone, the 10km surveillance zone has been revoked.

28 May 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone, the 3km protection zone has ended and the area that formed the protection zone becomes part of the 10km surveillance zone.

All birds on the premises have been humanely culled.
