Bird flu: near Cheddleton, Staffordshire Moorlands, Staffordshire (AIV 2022/96)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in captive birds on 7 October 2022.

19 January 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activity and surveillance, the 3km captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone has been revoked.

The birds on the premises have been humanely culled.
