What if I can't submit all of these documents?

You don't have to submit optional documents, but it may improve your chances of a successful application if you do.

What if I can't submit the documents digitally?

If you can't submit the documents digitally you can send copies by post instead. We'll give you the address and reference number to quote once you've paid the licence fee.

Declaration

  • I/We hereby apply for a street trading consent under Part III of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.
  • The details given in this application and any attached documents are correct to the best of my/our knowledge and belief. I/We understand that making a false statement in connection with an application is a criminal offence, and doing so may result in prosecution and/or revocation of consents issued by the Council.
  • I/We declare that all applicants are 17 years of age or older, and understand that I/We may not employ or engage a child (meaning a person of compulsory school age) in any street trading.
  • In the event of a consent being granted, I/We undertake to observe and adhere to any applicable conditions or restrictions.
  • I/We understand that a consent may be revoked, or conditions varied, by the licensing authority at any time (for example, following a breach of a consent, or as a result of complaints regarding the conduct of the trader, or if there is a change in circumstances affecting the suitability of the location for street trading).
