Become a qualified dangerous goods (ADR) vehicle driver
Finding a training course
Not all training providers run courses for explosives and radioactive materials.
Check with the provider to make sure they have training for the dangerous goods you want to transport.
Training you have to pay for
Find an official training centre to see if they provide the course you need.
Training providers set their own prices for courses - there’s no maximum price.
Free training courses
Skills Bootcamps are free training courses in England. Some offer courses to qualify as a dangerous goods driver.
Check with the provider you want to use:
- if they provide training for the dangerous goods you want to transport
- what criteria they have for applying
You can apply for Skills Bootcamps directly through training providers.
Find providers by searching for Skills Bootcamp courses on the National Careers Service site.
