EnTRESS 2 – Environmental Technologies & Resource Efficiency Support Service

Supports SMEs with the adoption of environmental technologies and resource efficiency processes to improve business competitiveness.

Who it’s for

SMEs who have a presence in the following LEP areas:

  • Black Country (including Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton)
  • Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire (including South Staffordshire, Cannock Chase, Lichfield, Tamworth, East Staffordshire, Stafford, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Moorlands)

The scheme cannot support agriculture businesses.

EnTRESS can indirectly work with larger business stakeholders through Challenge Events (contact the team for further details).

What you can get

Offers two days of free support to enhance the business knowledge linked to the areas of sustainability and the circular economy. This can be linked directly to sector academics or technical analysis available at the University of Wolverhampton.

Typical support includes, but is not limited to:

  • research and development analysis
  • efficiency audits to reduce, reuse and recover resources
  • identification of new market engagement and funding opportunities
  • attendance at themed events, for example plastics, circular economy, BIM, waste management and renewable energy
  • shared space at exhibitions and networking events
