Who it’s for

SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) located within Babergh or Mid Suffolk that:

  • employ fewer than 250 people
  • have a turnover of less than €50 million (about £42 million) or
  • have an annual balance sheet less than €43 million (about £35 million)

What you can get

The Rural Business Growth Fund can support:

  • net zero projects, for example, solar panel installation or energy efficiency improvements
  • SME investments and diversification, for example, specific equipment and machinery or refurbishment of premises
  • agriculture and farm diversification – projects that enable farming businesses to diversify into non-farming activities or complement the underlying farming business, for example, converting an old farm building into other commercial or business uses
  • visitor economy business expansion, for example, creating event venues or hospitality facilities, and developing local visitor trails
