On the basis of the information available to it, the Office of Fair Trading has decided that the anticipated merger between Cascades Italia SrL and Reno de Medici does not qualify for investigation under the mergers provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002. The evidence available to the OFT indicates that the UK turnover test is not met given that Reno de Medici's UK turnover is less that £70 million, and the share of supply test in section 23 of the Act is not met in respect of the supply of cartonboard or of specific categories or grades of cartonboard.
