Response to market study
22 October 2024: The government has accepted many of the CMA’s housebuilding market study recommendations and is committed to working on the others.

Final report
26 February 2024: The CMA has published the final report for the housebuilding market study. This report sets out our findings, the concerns that we have identified, and our assessment of the range of potential interventions that could address them.
We have also opened a new Competition Act investigation into 8 housebuilders in light of evidence suggesting they may be sharing information with their competitors.
