Published in line with the guidance on the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) approach to the variation and termination of merger monopoly and market undertakings and orders. Any revisions made to the timetable will be published on this webpage.
Final decisions published
10 July 2024: The CMA has made final decisions that, as a result of certain changes in circumstance, all of the remedies in question are no longer appropriate and should be released (in the case of the undertakings) and revoked (in the case of the order). The CMA’s final decision document sets out the CMA’s reasoning and provides a Notice of Release/Revocation.

Provisional decisions consultation published
19 March 2024: The CMA has made provisional decisions that, as a result of certain changes in circumstance, all of the remedies in question are no longer appropriate and should be released/revoked.
We’re now consulting on these provisional decisions.
Responses should be sent to us by 5pm on 18 April 2024. The CMA will then consider the views and evidence received before reaching a final decision.
Review group appointed
21 November 2023: The CMA appointed the following Panel group members to the reviews of three merger undertakings and one Market Investigation Order: Kirstin Baker, Paul Hughes and Jo Armstrong.
Decision to carry out a review
21 November 2023: Between 30 January 2023 and 17 February 2023, the CMA consulted on whether to launch reviews of various remedies in its portfolio. The CMA has now decided to conduct a review of three sets of old merger undertakings and one Market Investigation Order.
The purpose of these reviews is to determine whether, as a result of any change in circumstance, the remedies in question are no longer appropriate and need to be varied, superseded or released.
We are now consulting on whether there has been a relevant change in circumstances which means that any of the remedies in question should be varied, superseded or released.
Responses should be sent to us by 5pm on 12 December 2023. We will then consider the views and evidence received before reaching and consulting on a provisional decision.
