Order a commemorative marriage certificate
Register on the General Register Office (GRO) website to buy a special certificate to mark a silver (25th), ruby (40th), golden (50th) or diamond (60th) wedding anniversary.
Certificates cost £38.50 if you provide the GRO index reference number or £42 without.
You must order your certificate from the General Register Office in Northern Ireland or the General Register Office in Scotland if your marriage was registered there.
The original marriage details are printed on a specially designed certificate and mounted in a presentation box.
You’ll need to place your order at least 10 working days before the date you need it. It will take longer if you do not know the GRO index reference number.
You’ll also need a debit or credit card to use this service.
