Help with your visa application or other problems
Get help if you have:
- waited longer than the usual processing time for your visa
- technical problems with your application
- made a mistake in your online application
- problems signing into your application or with your password
- problems with making a payment to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) online or pending payments
Before you contact UKVI
Contact centre staff cannot give you advice about your personal circumstances. For example, they cannot tell you:
- which visas you can apply for - use the check if you need a UK visa tool instead
- when you will get a decision
- whether your application will be successful

Online
Queries cost £2.74. You will not be charged for any follow-up emails about the same enquiry.
You will get a reply to your query within 5 days, except on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and UK public holidays.
If you do not get a response within 5 working days, check your email’s spam or junk folder before contacting UKVI again.
