The rules apply across your entire agricultural holding and to all farming activities. You must follow all the rules that are relevant to your business.

The ‘What’s new for 2014?’ section tells you what’s changed this year and highlights new rules for:
- Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (SMR 4) – section C in particular
- Soil Protection Review (GAEC 1) –
- Increased inspections (SMR 4, SMR 7, GAEC 1)
- TB Testing - if you’re a cattle keeper, TB surveillance and check tests must be carried out by the testing deadline. If you don’t, you won’t meet the cross compliance rules.
