Provincial TB Control Programme Punjab. Guidelines and tools for facility level monitoring event.
Abstract
This document is intended to help improve tuberculosis case finding and treatment in private clinics and hospitals in Pakistan. It describes a structured event of facility level monitoring, reviewing both inputs (materials and staff) and case management, which it is recommended should be conducted every month to achieve certain agreed DOTS (directly observed short course treatment) implementation outputs. Each participating clinic/hospital would also be encouraged to participate in the quarterly district level monitoring event. [See also the somewhat longer first draft of these guidelines].
