CLOSED: Enabling Progression in Entry Level Jobs in South East (OC30S19P1457)
Call to run a project to deliver programmes within South East LEP area to support individuals with no qualifications or with level one only (and equivalent) to progress.
This call is now closed. Please do not submit an application for this call. The information provided on this page is for reference purposes only.
Details
As part of the skills strategy consultation and ongoing feedback across the LEP, it is clear that many individuals are not progressing from entry level jobs (such as those requiring no qualifications or level 1 only). It is therefore important to assist individuals to progress. This is illustrated also in the lower than average workplace earnings across the LEP and which are particularly low in certain areas.
However there are well paid employment opportunities on a large scale across the LEP area and the ESIF Strategy refresh in June 2015 identified that “there are a significant number of unfilled vacancies in the SELEP area.”
Through this call, the Managing Authority is seeking project(s) to deliver programmes to support individuals with no qualifications or with level one only (and equivalent) to progress. Priority sectors for delivery include construction, IT and digital, logistics, finance, education, health and care. Innovative programmes are welcomed, as are examples of best practice and a good track record of delivery within the SELEP area. Any training or qualification attainment should be relevant to assisting the individual to progress and could include elements such as confidence building, presenting or team working, as relevant to the role and individual.
