CLOSED: Ex-offender Pilot Programme – Leeds City Region (OC20S19P1652)
Call to run a project to develop a pilot programme focusing on business engagement to help reduce re-offending rates.
This call is now closed. Please do not submit an application for this call. The information provided on this page is for reference purposes only.
Details
Through this Call, the ESF Managing Authority is seeking a pilot programme of activity which will broker opportunities with SME and Micro Businesses to encourage and increase work experience, work placements, traineeships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities for ex- offenders.
The pilot programme should build capacity within SMEs to provide these opportunities and engage this particular disadvantaged client group to support ex- offenders back into work.
Successful applicants should:
- Demonstrate a strong track record of working with the target group(s), understanding their needs.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Leeds City Region labour market and the (current and future) needs of local business.
- Collaborate with other providers already working with the target group – specifically - HMPPS ESF provider APM to add value and not duplicate existing provision.
- Work in conjunction with other LEP and ESIF ESF programmes and activity to reduce the number of repeat approaches to employers.
- Ensure the programme maximises mainstream provision and provides by working in partnership with other new and/or existing providers.
- Demonstrate excellent partnerships and referral mechanisms with other skills, training and specialist providers.
All activities must complement and avoid duplication with other provision, thereby adding value. Successful candidates will be required to ensure that ESF provision will clearly add value and not duplicate any provision that can be arranged locally through existing mainstream institutions.
