Details
This Call will also be pivotal in supporting the increase in the number of unemployed individuals moving into apprenticeships at all levels across the Leeds City Region LEP area and employer participation in apprenticeships by raising awareness and providing support to employers.
The following young people are eligible for this activity:

Participants aged 15-24 who are NEET or at risk of NEET

Unemployed participants aged 16-24
-
Inactive participants aged 16-24 working closely with district level NEET providers to avoid duplication
The programme of activity should provide a holistic package of support which includes elements of the following five key areas. * Enhanced support for disadvantaged students/young people to engage with employers.

Develop careers and enterprise support including CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for key practitioners in order to develop knowledge of jobs in key sectors.

Make strategic connections between businesses and schools to create employer encounters in schools and colleges through activities that promote employability skills.

Enhanced support for disadvantaged students/young people who are NEET or at risk of being NEET.

Independent apprenticeship brokerage to support businesses to offer and individuals to access apprenticeships. NB to be considered in the context of the decline in take up and offer of apprenticeships as a result of COVID-19.

The project must cover the Leeds City Region LEP area.
Value
Approximately £5m of ESF is available.
Deadlines
Full application deadline: 17 April 2021
Completion date
Projects must be financially completed (i.e. have a proposed Financial Completion Date) no later than 31st December 2023; however, the Managing Authority reserves the right to vary the maximum duration in exceptional circumstances.

To apply for funding under this call you will need to complete and submit your Full Application via the ECLAIMS IT System.

Full Applications submitted in the ECLAIMS IT System after the call closing date shown above and on the call specification will not be appraised.
