Call to run a project to support an increase in the skills levels of employed participants in the Coast to Capital area.

Details
Successful applicants will do so by offering a range of support which will include two or more of the following:
- Support for business sectors where work has been undertaken to identify specific sectorial skills needs. To include innovative development and delivery of provision to combat these identified skills shortages.
- Support for the existing workforce to encourage progression and generate opportunity.
- Support for the development of training and tutoring skills among employees in sectors with skills shortages, to utilise their expertise to train employees of the future, or to develop in-work skills. (Either within their own companies and/or working with colleges).
- Build on existing careers advice provision to attract entrants at the start of their careers and skilled individuals changing sector or developing their skills further.
- Retraining and up skilling the workforce in light of sectorial automation changes.
- Equal access to learning for all people including flexible and innovative learning opportunities and recognising specific needs of particular groups of people within the workforce i.e. women, carers, older people and/or those with disabilities.
- Skills support for young people in employment and apprenticeships.
- Provision of training and interventions for the existing workforce at all levels; basic skills through to higher level skills (bear in mind the credit level restrictions for training at L3 and higher).
- Contributing to delivery costs of vocational short courses designed to help low skilled employees progress to higher value employment therefore tackling disadvantage e.g. funding outreach activity, including taster courses to disadvantaged individuals to help improve take up and retention.
- Support for intermediate, technical and advanced skills for specific industries and sectors identified as driving growth in local economies.
Applicants are encouraged to design collaborative projects focused on individual beneficiary and local labour market need, the specific objectives of the investment priority and the required project outputs.

The project must cover the Cost to Capital LEP area.
Value
Approximately £2,000,000 of ESF is available.
Deadlines
Full application deadline: 28 January 2020
Completion date
Projects must be completed no later than 3 years and 6 months after the proposed project start date, however the ESF Managing Authority reserves the right to vary the maximum duration in exceptional circumstances. All ESF Projects must be completed by 31st December 2023. Project costs cannot be incurred beyond this date.

To apply for funding under this call you will need to complete and submit your Full Application via the ECLAIMS IT System.

Full Applications submitted in the ECLAIMS IT System after the call closing date shown above and on the call specification will not be appraised.
