Details
The ESF Managing Authority is seeking a programme of activity to broker opportunities for Apprenticeship levy to be used as match to support new apprenticeship starts in relevant SMEs within the levy payer’s supply chain or industry sector and build competitive advantage through the development and increase of high quality apprenticeships prioritising the following key sectors:
- Agritec
- Bio renewables
- Food Manufacture
- Construction
- Engineering
- Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise
- Visitor Economy
- Health and social care
Activity should include:
- training and support for employed individuals within SMEs to access apprenticeship training, ensuring activity does not duplicate existing provision.
- locally tailored solutions to meet the skills priorities of eligible SME employers through apprenticeships.
- offering SME employers a single point of contact, providing impartial advice and support on apprenticeships – including apprenticeship reforms and changes to funding and access to new Higher and Degree Apprenticeships for existing employees.
- work across the LEP Area to promote the new apprenticeship standards – enabling SMEs, particularly in rural areas or areas of disadvantage, to access apprenticeships and increase take-up.

Location
The project must cover the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding LEP Area.
Value
Approximately £1m of ESF is available.
Deadlines
Full application deadline: 13 January 2020
Completion date
Projects must be completed no later than 3 years and 6 months after the proposed project start date, however the ESF Managing Authority reserves the right to vary the maximum duration in exceptional circumstances. All ESF Projects must be completed by 31st December 2023. Project costs cannot be incurred beyond this date.

To apply for funding under this call you will need to complete and submit your Full Application via the ECLAIMS IT System.

Full Applications submitted in the ECLAIMS IT System after the call closing date shown above and on the call specification will not be appraised.
