Export horses to Syria: certificate 6363
Use these forms and guidance document to export horses to Syria.
You cannot export cattle, sheep, pigs, goats or horses for fattening and slaughter. This applies to journeys from or through Great Britain to anywhere outside the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man. You can still export live cattle, sheep, pigs, goats or horses for other purposes. For example, for breeding and competitions.
A certificate for this commodity exists, but may not meet the importing country’s requirements. Contact exports@apha.gov.uk for a copy of this certificate so you can check with the importing competent authority whether it will be accepted for your export.
If the importing country will accept the requirements provided by APHA, please provide the importing competent authority’s approval in writing to APHA who will then create the Export Health Certificate for you to use. If the importing country will not accept the requirements, you will need to obtain their new requirements in writing and provide these to APHA for a new EHC to be created.
