Apply for this licence
If you fish for salmon, eels or freshwater fish in Northern Ireland you must have a licence from the right agency. These are:
- Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA)
- Loughs Agency of the Foyle, Carlingford
The agency you need to contact will depend on where you want to fish.
You must also have a permit from the fishery owner.
You must comply with any terms and conditions attached to a licence and permit.
