You can apply for exclusive rights to cultivate and take fish in an area if you operate a marine fish farm in Northern Ireland.
A marine fish fishery licence gives the holder the exclusive right to cultivate and take a particular species of marine fish within a defined area.
It also provides legislative protection for the fish farm operation.
You need to hold a fish culture licence to apply for an optional marine fish fishery licence.
