To run a nursing agency in Northern Ireland you must register it, meet certain standards and operate according to the current regulations.
The minimum standards make sure the agency is managed properly and provides quality care.

Restrictions
If you want to operate or manage more than one agency you must make a separate application for each one.
How to register
You must register with the Health and Social Care Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) using the following form:
You must pay a registration fee of £30 and an annual fee of £15.
Fines and penalties
If you don’t register, don’t meet the minimum standards or break the regulations, you could be taken to court.
