You need a phytosanitary certificate from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) to export potatoes to non-EU countries.

Phytosanitary certificates are not required for trade within the EU.

How to apply

Download an application form from the DAERA website.

You’ll need to provide:

  • your details
  • details of the recipient of the shipment
  • details of the packages to be sent
  • transit arrangements

Return your completed form to DAERA’s Agri-food Inspection Branch.
