Pollution data reporting (Northern Ireland)

You need to report your business's annual pollution releases in Northern Ireland if it's regulated by a Part A pollution prevention and control permit

If you’re an operator of a business in Northern Ireland regulated by a Part A pollution prevention and control permit issued by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), you will be required to report your annual pollution releases to NIEA.

To do so you must fill out a pollution inventory form and include information on the following:

• details of your business and business premises
• all chemical releases you have made into the environment
• all chemical transfers you have made into wastewater
• waste transfers - off-site or overseas

You must return your reporting form to the NIEA by 31 January each year.
