How much it costs
Social work student registration costs £15.
After your first year of registration to remain registered you must pay a £15 annual fee.
How long it lasts
You should remain registered for the duration of your social care degree course. When you qualify you will be invited to apply to register as a social worker.
How to appeal
Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria, those refused registration can appeal to a Registration Appeals Panel. If not satisfied with the outcome of this process, you may be able to appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal.
