Objectives
Coastal and maritime construction work is particularly dangerous due to the hostile and sometimes unpredictable nature of the environment. This guidance document addresses how to manage safety in coastal and maritime design and construction work. It identifies good practice principles for each phase of projects. It’s based on detailed consultations with a wide range of design engineers, clients and contractors.
Outcome
This guidance incorporates lessons learnt from previous experience in the coastal and maritime construction sectors. It contains guidance and recommendations for all stakeholders involved in the safety of coastal and maritime construction work.
