Details

The Environment Agency has developed a framework and prototype tool to help local authorities understand and manage flood risk in their area better.

The framework helps local authorities assess flood risk in a specific area. It supports surface water management plans, local flood risk management strategies and flood risk regulations related studies.

The prototype tool uses national and local datasets. It’s robust and simple to set up and use. It helps local authorities calculate and view the number of people or properties affected by any flood scenario in a specified area.
