Details

This research was commissioned to evaluate the Partnership Funding approach and either confirm or refine the policy for funding after 2021. It was designed to build on the earlier evaluation completed in 2014.

This study found that there had been an overall rise in the amount of resources put towards capital projects. It also found that projects that would previously not have qualified for funding were now receiving Grant in Aid (GiA).

This further evaluation assessed the approach against its primary objective of increasing total investment in flood risk management, as well as whether it:

  • increased local engagement
  • promoted cost-effective approaches
  • resulted in government funding being aimed at high risk and other target groups

This project started in 2017 and was completed in 2018 at a cost of £71,179.
