Details

This project aimed to provide a new generation of tools for simulating rainfall data series using new sources of data such as radar. These can be used to support new ways of estimating floods based on continuous simulation of rainfall and runoff.

The results presented two important developments in method to resolve issues associated with using generally available rain gauge data.

The project started in 2000 and was completed in 2001 at a cost of £62,525.
