The project report provides new guidance on best practice for using marine concrete. It has been developed from existing UK, French and international research and practical experience.
It includes guidance on all aspects of design, construction, inspection, monitoring and maintenance to lessen the impact of the concrete degrading. This is to increase the lifespan of defences and breakwaters.
The project started in August 2006 and was completed in September 2010.
