Disruption and ongoing protests
There remains a high risk of protests and demonstrations occurring at short notice across Mozambique. In Mozambique, demonstrations and protests can be unpredictable, and even peaceful protests may turn violent. See Safety and security page. Land border crossings into neighbouring countries can be restricted/blocked at short notice. Pay attention to your surroundings, stay away from crowds, monitor the local media and be prepared for disruption to services and transport nationwide.
