Warnings and insurance

The UK does not recognise Taiwan as a state and has no diplomatic relations with Taiwan, so limited support is available to British nationals. Please refer to the British Office in Taipei for further information.

Tyhpoon Podul  

According to Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration, Typhoon Podul is expected to make landfall on Taiwan’s East coast (Hualien and Taitung) on 13 August (Wednesday), with expected impacts across the whole of Taiwan through to 14 August (Thursday). Be alert to risks from heavy rainfall in all regions of Taiwan.
