After you apply
If you applied for a paper-based apostille
You’ll be told how to submit your documents.
If you send in documents by post, your legalised documents will be returned by courier or post to the address you gave.
Once the documents have been legalised, share them with the recipient by post, by courier or in person.
If you applied for an e-Apostille
You’ll be emailed as soon as your legalised documents are ready.
You can download them multiple times and share them digitally, such as by email, memory stick or in person by showing your screen.
If any of your documents cannot be legalised
Your fee will be automatically refunded. There’s no refund if a recipient rejects a legalised document.
Help your recipient check an apostille is valid
If your recipient wants to check an apostille was issued by the Legalisation Office, they can verify an apostille.
