The Rt Hon the Baroness Margaret Hodge of Barking DBE

Baroness Hodge was the Labour MP for Barking between 1994 and 2024. She held several government positions, including as Minister for Culture, Creative Industries & Tourism. In 2010 Baroness Hodge became the first woman elected Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, serving until 2015.
Baroness Hodge is Chair of College Council for Royal Holloway, University of London and a visiting professor at the Policy Institute at King’s College London. She sits on the editorial board for Political Quarterly. She was Chair of Theatre Royal Stratford East from 2015 - 2025.
